Meet the Team
Linda Wyner – Founder, Chef-Instructor, Jack of all Trades
Local attorney and food columnist, Linda Wyner, brings her encyclopedic knowledge of “foodie life” to the enterprise.Linda is a food anthropologist by education and author of Food for Thought: Musings on the History and Trivia of Food, was published in 2006 by Pans on Fire Productions.
Bitten by the cooking bug at an early age, she will drive out of her way to see a kitchen store, visit a farm or artisanal food producer, and talk about traditional foods and recipes with folks having different regional or international roots.
Having taken a host of classes through the California Culinary Academy and other private cooking schools, Linda has conducted cooking demonstrations and hands-on programs for a variety of audiences for several years. She’s passionate about sharing this knowledge with customers and inspiring adults and kids alike to pick up a spoon (or even a can opener) and get cooking.

Our in-house Italian is Fio who makes you feel welcome in any language while she makes you a mean cup of espresso. Zena delights in showing you around the store and our newest staffer Cortnee uses her culinary background to help you find just the right tool for the job.
